Seven Jaguars Receive CSC Academic All-District Honors

Seven Jags from the men’s and women’s tennis teams at IUPUI have been recognized for their outstanding academic and athletic achievements. Emil Jankowski, Kamil Kozerski, Will Thurin, and Noah Viste were honored from the men’s team, while Sofia Castillo, Emma Dell, and Gabbie Orlando represented the women’s team on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

These student-athletes were selected for their exceptional performances both on the court and in the classroom. Jankowski, a senior from Denmark, maintained a 3.74 GPA in Media Arts and Science and earned a spot on the Horizon League Honor Roll. Kozerski, a junior from Illinois, achieved a perfect 4.00 GPA in Exercise Science while excelling in both singles and doubles matches.

Thurin, also a junior, received recognition for his 4.00 GPA in Exercise Science and impressive performance on the court. Viste, a junior from Wisconsin, maintained a 3.72 GPA in Finance/Real Estate and showcased his skills with six singles wins this season.

On the women’s side, Castillo, Dell, and Orlando were commended for their academic and athletic accomplishments. Castillo, a sophomore from Mexico, maintained a 3.92 GPA in Visual Communication Design while securing six singles wins. Dell, a sophomore from Indianapolis, achieved a 3.94 GPA in Sports Management and recorded 10 singles wins.

Orlando, a graduate student from Michigan, earned eight singles wins and seven doubles wins this season while maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA in Urban and Regional Governance. These student-athletes serve as shining examples of dedication and excellence both on and off the court.
