Shahid Says Actors Playing Aggressive Characters in the Past Were Called Superstars, Now It’s Critically Important in Entertainment News

He stated, “If something is done well and if the emotion is coming through to the audience, we should be respectful of that. You can like it or dislike it, but the quality of the performance should not be confused with the traits of the character.”

Shahid also addressed the ongoing debate in Hindi cinema regarding characters accused of perpetuating toxic masculinity. He highlighted that the portrayal of a character is influenced by the script and the filmmaker, and the quality of a performance is determined by what the filmmaker brings out from the actor.
