Danica Shamion, a senior guard at West Iron County Public Schools, has added another accolade to her impressive high school athletic career. Shamion was named to the Associated Press Division 3 All-State Honorable Mention team on Tuesday.
Shamion, who recently joined the Wykons’ 1,000-point club, played a crucial role in leading the West Iron girls varsity basketball team to a District title. Despite a tough loss in the Regional Championship game, Shamion’s contributions were instrumental in the team’s success.
