NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is making headlines for his unique self-care routine that involves regular pedicures. In a recent episode of “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” the 52-year-old shared his love for pampering his feet and even revealed that he spends about $1,000 on pedicures because he knows his feet can get stinky and ugly.

Shaq explained that he first started painting his toenails on the suggestion of his mom, Lucille O’Neal, after he tore off a toenail before a game. Surprisingly, he ended up scoring 40 points in that game, leading him to continue the practice of painting his toenails.

The former Los Angeles Lakers player isn’t afraid to experiment with different colors and designs on his toenails, including sparkles and intricate patterns. He emphasized that he wants his feet to look pretty despite their natural state.

This isn’t the first time Shaq has opened up about his love for pedicures. In a 2019 appearance on “Good Morning America,” he received foot care on live TV and shared how his daughters used to paint his toes, leading to it becoming a ritual that he believes helps his feet look better.

Shaq’s dedication to foot care has inspired other celebrities like “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Sandoval and football player Caleb Williams to embrace nail care as well. It seems like Shaq’s unique self-care routine is not only beneficial for his feet but also a fun way to express himself.
