Keep reading and get ready to bring you’re A-game!We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Cloud Developer to assist in the migration of six SharePoint sites from a 2019 on-premises environment to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SharePoint migrations and cloud solutions, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations.To keep breaking barriers and redefining what’s possible, we’re looking for candidates with the following exceptional technical capabilities:Migration Planning and Execution:
- Develop a detailed migration plan for moving six SharePoint 2019 sites to SharePoint Online.
- Assess current on-premises SharePoint environments and identify potential challenges and solutions.
- Execute the migration plan, ensuring data integrity, security, and minimal downtime.
Design and Development:
- Customize and configure SharePoint Online environments to match existing on-premises functionalities.
- Develop custom SharePoint solutions using SharePoint Online features and tools.
- Implement workflows, libraries, lists, and web parts in the cloud environment.
Testing and Validation:
- Conduct thorough testing of migrated sites to ensure functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to validate the migrated sites against business requirements.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise during testing.
Documentation and Training:
- Create comprehensive documentation for the migration process and new SharePoint Online configurations.
- Provide training and support to end-users and administrators on the new cloud environment.
- Develop user guides and technical documentation.
Maintenance and Support:
- Monitor the performance and health of the new SharePoint Online sites post-migration.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for any issues related to the migration.
- Implement security best practices to safeguard SharePoint data and applications.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in SharePoint development and administration.
- Proven experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365, particularly in migration projects.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell, and client-side development technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
- Experience with Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate) and SharePoint Designer.
- Knowledge of REST API, JSON, and OData protocols.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SharePoint certification(s) such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer or Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with displaying data from external sources such as Remedy IT Service Management software, Microsoft Team Foundation Studio (TFS), Asana, or other software tools in SharePoint Online.
