Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has taken swift action to address the impact of severe weather in the emirate. Following a meeting with government officials, Sheikh Hamdan approved a series of initiatives to mitigate the effects of the extreme weather.

The Crown Prince directed the establishment of a committee to review requests from Emirati citizens affected by heavy rains, prioritizing the repair and rehabilitation of their homes. Additionally, he instructed the Dubai Land Department and Real Estate Regulatory Agency to coordinate with property developers to restore affected communities as quickly as possible.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of supporting all those affected by the adverse weather conditions, personally monitoring the progress of response measures. He also formed a committee chaired by Omar Bushahab to support affected individuals, ensuring their needs are efficiently addressed by various government entities.

Furthermore, the Crown Prince commended the Department of Economy and Tourism for collaborating with the private sector and hotels to provide temporary accommodation for citizens until their homes are repaired. He stressed the government’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of its citizens, providing immediate assistance and support during this challenging time.

Sheikh Hamdan also instructed the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department to provide humanitarian support to those in need and activated the ‘Jood’ platform to receive contributions from the private sector for assistance efforts. The Dubai government’s proactive approach and commitment to helping those affected by the extreme weather demonstrate its dedication to the welfare of its citizens.
