In a thrilling encounter at the Indian Premier League, the Delhi Capitals emerged victorious against the Gujarat Titans by a narrow margin of four runs. Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten 88 off 43 balls, along with Axar Patel’s quickfire 66 off 43 balls, propelled the Capitals to a formidable total of 224 for 4 after being put in to bat first.

In response, the Gujarat Titans put up a valiant effort with Sai Sudarshan scoring 65 off 29 balls and David Miller smashing 55 off 23 balls. However, they fell just short of the target, finishing at 220 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs.

The match went down to the wire as the Titans fought hard till the end, with David Miller’s aggressive batting in the 17th over giving them hope. Despite Rashid’s efforts in the final over, the Titans could not cross the finish line, falling just four runs short.

Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill praised his team’s fighting spirit in the mammoth chase, acknowledging the execution of plans on a small ground like the one in Delhi. He expressed disappointment at the loss but commended his team for their character and never-say-die attitude.

The Titans will now look to bounce back when they face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their next match on Sunday. The fans can expect another thrilling encounter as the Titans aim to turn their fortunes around in the IPL.
