Team Shuster secures last playoff spot for US at World Men’s Curling Championships
DULUTH — Team Shuster has clinched the final playoff spot for the United States at the World Men’s Curling Championships after winning their last match of the round-robin in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The US finished with a 7-5 record over 12 matches and will enter the weekend knockout bracket in sixth place.
The team, consisting of Shuster, Plys, Hufman, and Landsteiner, with Hamilton as the alternate, started strong with a 4-2 record but faced a setback with three consecutive losses. However, they bounced back with wins against Germany, New Zealand, and Czechia to secure their playoff position.
