Maple Grove High School’s dynamic tennis duo, Fletcher and Trey DeMink, are gearing up for the ultimate challenge this weekend as they prepare to compete in the NYSPHSAA championships at the prestigious USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing.

The twins, who have already secured the titles of valedictorian (Trey) and salutatorian (Fletcher) at their upcoming graduation, made history by claiming the Section VI doubles title. This achievement marks the first time a boys team from Chautauqua County has accomplished such a feat.

With their sights set on making a splash at the state championships, the brothers are eager to showcase their skills on the grand stage. Trey and Fletcher will kick off their matches on Friday morning, aiming to secure a good seed and advance through the rounds.

Coach Connor Barnes commended the DeMink brothers for their exceptional work ethic and dedication to excellence, both on and off the court. As they prepare to embark on their next chapter at Penn State University in the fall, Trey and Fletcher are determined to make the most of their final high school tennis tournament.

With a strong support system behind them and a shared goal of reaching the quarterfinals, the DeMink twins are ready to leave it all on the court and make their mark at the NYSPHSAA championships. Their journey from the Lakewood YMCA to the National Tennis Center is a testament to their hard work, determination, and unwavering passion for the sport.
