The SIUE Women’s Tennis team is gearing up for an exciting matchup against Pepperdine in the opening round of the NCAA Championships on Friday, May 3rd. This will be SIUE’s third appearance at the NCAA Division I Championships and the 13th NCAA Championship overall.

After winning the 2024 Ohio Valley Conference Championship, SIUE is looking to carry their momentum into the NCAA Championships. The Cougars secured their spot in the tournament with a 4-1 victory over Southeast Missouri in the OVC Championship match.

This will be the first-ever meeting between SIUE and Pepperdine, adding an extra layer of excitement to the matchup. The winner of this match will move on to face the winner of the Arizona State/Northwestern matchup.

SIUE has had a standout season, with several players earning spots on the All-Ohio Valley Conference women’s tennis team. Margaux Guibal Britt, Jill Lambrechts, and Jordan Schifano were selected to the first team, while Amelia Gorman and Fabiola Perez were named to the second team. The doubles teams of Guibal Britt and Gorman, as well as Lambrechts and Schifano, were also recognized for their outstanding play.
