Six Kelso girls tennis players named to 3A All-League list

Kelso’s dynamic duo, Rylie and Taylor Nelsen, have made waves in the tennis world with their exceptional performance in the bi-district tournament. The sisters have been selected to the prestigious 3A Greater St. Helens All-League girls tennis team, solidifying their status as top players in the region.

The Nelsen sisters were not the only Kelso players to receive recognition for their outstanding play. Lana Osman and Leah McReary, the top singles players, as well as the second doubles pairing of Callie Coburn and Payton Lindeman, also earned spots on the All-League team.

In addition to the Kelso players, other standout athletes were honored for their achievements on the court. Prairie’s Elsa Bice was named the 3A GSHL Singles Player of the Year, while Mountain View’s Brynn DeSantis and Lexi Frost were crowned the Doubles Team of the Year. Evergreen’s Doug Priebe was recognized as the Coach of the Year for his leadership and guidance.

The All-League team also included Mountain View’s Siena Low and Bethany Pham, as well as singles star Addie Simonsmeier, showcasing the depth of talent in the region.

Overall, the All-League selections highlight the skill and dedication of these young athletes, who have worked tirelessly to achieve success in the competitive world of high school tennis. Congratulations to all the players who were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the sport.
