Skip Bayless Warns Celtics Fans to Be ‘Concerned’ Following Game 2 Defeat

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Following Thursday night’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Skip Bayless is warning Boston Celtics fans that they should be more than concerned. In fact, he told Paul Pierce that he should be “scared” on Friday’s episode of “Undisputed.”

Bayless listed a number of reasons why the Celtics should be worried after their surprising defeat at home at the hands of the Cavaliers. The biggest point that Bayless made is that the Cavaliers are not the Miami Heat. While the Celtics were able to easily move past the Heat in the opening round, that was partly because Miami was without both Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier. That opened a clear pathway for the Celtics and the Heat were hobbled offensively.

However, the situation is different with the Cavaliers, who saw Donovan Mitchell shooting incredibly well during Game 2. Mitchell is healthy and hitting important shots, which is making the Miami Heat feel like a distant memory. Bayless also added that one of Boston’s best shooters, Derrick White, wasn’t playing as well as usual during Thursday’s game. This is a very bad sign for Boston because they need all of their star players to be performing to the best of their abilities during this series.

Despite the concerns raised by Bayless, Pierce and many Boston fans still feel confident that their team has the advantage and will ultimately take down the Cavaliers. However, if the Celtics continue to struggle in the next game, that confidence may start to waver. The pressure is on for Boston to bounce back and show that they are still a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs.
