Slick Text and Kinzua Vet Clinic achieve success in climbing competitions | Latest updates on News, Sports, and Job opportunities

The Warren Youth Climbing League was back in action last Monday at The Goat Fort, and the competition was fierce. The matchups featured Whirley vs. Slick Text and Bent Run vs. Kinzua Vet Clinic, with both matches showcasing some impressive climbing skills.

In the first match, Slick Text came out strong, with Lane Morrison and Alivia Glotz leading the way with 1,180 points each. Whirley fought back hard, with Connor Ash, Avery Woldt, Finley LaVigne, and Wesley Hornstrom earning over 500 points each. Despite their efforts, Slick Text emerged victorious with a final score of 6,239 to Whirley’s 5,502.

The second match saw the Bent Run team take an early lead, with Lily White scoring big on the three hardest climbs. However, Kinzua Vet Clinic rallied midway through the meet, with Chase Long and Cole Miller putting up impressive scores. In the end, KVC pulled ahead to win with a score of 5,812 to Bent Run’s 5,552.

Both coaches were thrilled with their teams’ performances, praising the kids for their hard work and determination. The league standings currently have Allegheny Outfitters in the lead, followed by Slick Text, Whirley, Bent Run, and Kinzua Vet Clinic.

The next meet is set to take place today at The Goat Fort, with Slick Text facing off against Kinzua Vet Clinic and Allegheny Outfitters meeting Whirley. The competition is sure to be intense as these young climbers continue to push themselves to new heights.
