Netflix has just released a first look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt in The Witcher Season 4, and fans are buzzing with excitement. The actor is taking over the role from Henry Cavill and will also be reprising the character for the final season, Season 5.
In the newly unveiled footage, Hemsworth’s Geralt of Rivia can be seen leading his trusty horse Roach through a mysterious and foggy swamp. The actor looks strikingly different from his previous roles, sporting Geralt’s iconic white hair, yellow eyes, and witcher armor. The video gives fans a glimpse of Hemsworth’s brooding portrayal of the beloved character, and it’s safe to say that he looks the part.
Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich expressed her excitement about the recasting, stating that Hemsworth has brought passion, energy, and authenticity to the role from day one. The cast and crew have been impressed by his dedication to embodying Geralt, complete with the character’s signature scar and scruffy beard.
In addition to Hemsworth, two new actors will be joining the main cast for Season 4: Laurence Fishburne as Regis and Danny Woodburn as Zoltan Chivay. The rest of the series’ core cast, including Freya Allen as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Joey Batey as Jaskier, will also be returning for the upcoming season.
