Loyalsock junior Evan Anderson’s journey into the world of tennis began unexpectedly, sparked by a casual suggestion from a friend. After picking up pickleball during a visit to California, Anderson decided to give tennis a shot and quickly found himself falling in love with the sport.

Joining the tennis team at the last minute, Anderson wasted no time in making an impact. Despite a few early setbacks, he quickly rose to the No. 2 singles spot on the team, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport.

His skills were put to the test in the District 4 Singles Tournament, where he faced off against some of the top singles talent in the district. Despite being unseeded and facing tough competition, Anderson showed remarkable progress and determination throughout the tournament.

With a strong performance in the early rounds, Anderson advanced to face off against some of the top-seeded players. While he ultimately fell short in a hard-fought match against Wyatt Fry of Montoursville, Anderson’s growth and improvement throughout the season were evident to all.
