Job description: Ricardo Defense is seeking a Software Developer to add to our growing software team. This Software Developer position is a remote position with occasional travel to a Ricardo Defense Office or customer locations possible. This Software Developer will develop and sustain software projects for our Department of Defense customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with your Software Development lead to identify opportunities for increased process efficiency, code and module sharing, standardization, and integration.
Identify and follow industry best practices where applicable.
Monitor and identify future software directions, trends, and technologies.

A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Government Secret Clearance and Common Access Card (CAC) if required. The Minimum requirement to obtain a Secret Clearance is U.S. Citizenship. Only Applicants that meet this requirement will be considered.

Develop high-value software products derived from system engineering specifications and architecture design.
Develop products with emphasis on minimizing future software sustainment needs.
Experience creating unit tests on new or existing code base.
Experience with modeling software (UML).
Ability to interface directly with customers.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Enthusiastic team player who facilitates team success.
Experience with C#, .NET, Blazor, JavaScript, Java, and/or Python preferred.
Database skills such as SQL queries, Entity Framework, data analytics (ETL processes) preferred.
Experience with Git, JIRA, and Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab preferred.
