Job description: Job Title: Programmer, Applications IV (Oracle/Unix/.NET Technologies)
Location: Remote
6-month+ Contract
Pay: $60.00/hr BOE

The client seeks a senior-level Applications Programmer IV with strong business acumen to support our client located in Washington DC.
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents complex applications programs. Develops or modifies procedures to solve complex application programming problems, taking computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results into consideration. Works at the highest technical level of all phases of applications programming activities.
Required Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in Oracle, Unix, and .NET technologies
  • Hands-on experience in analysis and design, working with business customer(s) and infrastructure teams to translate requirements to applications.
  • Works on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and performs all functional duties independently.
  • Oversees the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Strong programming, design, and analytic skills
  • A good understanding of object-oriented analysis and design
  • Excellent working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core / 6
  • Experience in full life cycle development and Agile development methodology.
  • Moderate experience developing/supporting software applications using Java and more than one of these software technologies: Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML.
  • Working experience in creating and maintain applications written Oracle PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, HTML, JavaScript and .Net.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, both individual and team related tasks.
  • Maintains attention to detail in high-pressure situations, and the ability to exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems.
  • Typically performs all functional duties independently.
  • Moderate knowledge of and experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex Web-based software systems
  • Excellent communication skills

Working knowledge of one of more of the following qualifications:
– Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
– Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
– Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc)
– Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
– Kubernetes
– Security
– Performance tuningEducation Requirements:

  • A minimum of thirteen (13) to twenty (20) years relevant experience.

o A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred. four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a college degree is required. If the individuals degree is not in the applicable field, then four additional years of related experience is required.
Additional Provisions:

  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
  • Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
  • Once candidates resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
  • If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
  • All candidates must be a US Citizen, or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
  • Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
  • All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
  • Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time.
  • The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e., collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
