Southwestern’s Declan Kennedy showcased his exceptional talent in the 400-meter hurdles during a recent CCAA track & field meet against Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton. Kennedy’s outstanding performance included winning three events, including the 110-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles, and 200 meters. His teammate, Connor Young, also had a strong showing by winning the long jump and triple jump.
In the boys matchup, Southwestern dominated with a 107-34 victory over Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton. Nick Jacobson stood out for the Eagles by winning the 100 meters and high jump.
On the girls side, Southwestern continued their winning streak with a 97-44 victory. M’Kenzie Zavala, Alexis Grijalva, Emma Lewis, and Faith Hamilton were all double winners for the Trojans.
The meet featured impressive performances from both teams, with standout athletes like Jada Cole from the Eagles and Declan Kennedy from Southwestern showcasing their skills in various events.
