The Chester Bach Singers are gearing up for a special concert titled “Sounds of the Fifties,” set to take place on Saturday, 8th June at 3:00 PM at the Wesley Church Centre in Chester. The choir, known for their exceptional performances, will be showcasing a variety of music from the 1950s, including songs from the classic musical “West Side Story” by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim.
The concert will also feature music composed to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation in 1953, as well as American and Irish music. Additionally, the choir will be performing pieces by composers born in the 1950s, such as Dame Judith Weir and their own Musical Director, Martin Bussey.
