Sports: The News-Gazette’s 92nd All-State boys’ basketball team announced

One standout player is Hank Alvey from Illini Bluffs, a 6-9 senior forward who will be playing for Lehigh next season. Alvey maintained a 4.0 GPA while averaging 18.1 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.9 blocks, and 2.7 assists per game for the Tigers, who finished with an impressive 33 wins.

Another notable player is Nick Allen from Bradley-Bourbonnais, a 6-10 junior center who has caught the attention of the Missouri Valley Conference with his impressive stats of 19 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks per game. Allen’s recruitment is heating up as he continues to dominate on the court.
