The Canadian Women’s Club of Jamaica Hosts Spectacular Fashion Show
The Rocksteady Ballroom of the AC Hotel was transformed into a dazzling display of opulent style and high fashion as the highly anticipated event, Spring into Fashion, took center stage. Hosted by The Canadian Women’s Club of Jamaica, the event was a celebration of regal beauty and elevated grandeur that left audience members in awe.

Fashion show coordinator and compère, Joan McDonald, captained the proceedings with style and grace, taking viewers on an enchanting journey through inspiring creations and jaw-dropping innovation.
The runway came alive with mesmerizing couture from a variety of designers, each bringing their own unique flair to the show. Ackeilia Cane showcased beautiful African print designs for the young and fashionable, while students from the textile department of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts wowed the crowd with flowing trends that left many craving for more.
T&T Fashion and Tamia Carey Collection presented exquisite collections that showcased amazing silhouettes and modern contemporary designs. House of Fennel brought breathtaking dresses and tailor-made looks for men to the spotlight, while Denise Katz and Janseen Graham captivated the audience with their activewear, swim designs, and casual comfort to lavish proportions.

Aviola Accessories provided magnificently paired jewelry pieces that complemented the looks on the runway, adding an extra touch of glamour to the evening.
One of the show-stopping moments of the night was when attendees were taken ‘behind the scenes’ into the closet of Miss World 1976, Cindy Breakspeare, viewing wardrobe selections from that time period. A Touch of Vintage and Mutamba also graced the runway with classic vintage looks that transported the audience back in time.
Celebrities added an extra touch of excitement to the event, with Canadian High Commissioner to Jamaica Emina Tudakovic strutting her stuff on the runway in fabulous fashion. Other celebrities, including Miss Jamaica World 2022 Shanique Singh, senator Dr. Saphire Longmore, fashion designer Nealis Aris, and interior designer Karen Booker, also graced the runway with their presence.
In addition to the stunning fashion on display, guests were invited to participate in a raffle and showcase their modeling skills on the runway. The event was not only a celebration of fashion but also a fundraising effort to support the initiatives of The Canadian Women’s Club of Jamaica.
Overall, Spring into Fashion was a night to remember, filled with glamour, style, and a sense of community as fashion enthusiasts and style experts came together to celebrate the art of couture.
