In their first game against Lake Linden-Hubbell, the Gremlins fell short with a 4-3 score, despite a strong effort from pitcher Stella Soumis. However, they bounced back in their second game, dominating rival Calumet with an 11-1 victory. Brynn Arko led the team with four RBIs, while Reagan Moyle and Roni Mattson combined for a solid pitching performance.

On the second day of the tournament, the Gremlins continued their winning streak with a 10-4 victory over Westwood. Fayah Zapolnik had a standout performance, going 3-3 with three RBIs and three runs. The team’s bats were on fire, with multiple players contributing to the offensive effort.

The final game of the tournament ended in a 3-3 tie against Wittenberg-Birnamwood, with Soumis delivering a strong pitching performance. Clea Ollanketo hit a home run, showcasing the team’s power at the plate.

Head coach Melissa Baker was pleased with her team’s performance, especially their ability to shake off nerves and come together as a cohesive unit. Looking ahead, the Gremlins have their sights set on a rematch with Negaunee, aiming to avenge last year’s district championship loss.
