SRH Makes Major Decision Before IPL 2024 Final Clash with KKR in Chennai

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) made a bold decision ahead of the IPL 2024 final against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by canceling their practice session on Saturday. The team, which secured a spot in the summit clash after defeating Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2, opted for a rest day to ensure their players are fit for the high-stakes match at the Chepauk Stadium on Sunday.

With Chennai experiencing extreme temperatures and humidity, SRH’s decision to skip practice was aimed at keeping their players fresh and ready for the final showdown. In contrast, KKR, who last played on Tuesday in Qualifier 1, had a longer break before the final and utilized the time for practice sessions.

KKR’s recent matches against Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals were abandoned due to rain, leading to a lack of match practice for the team. However, they are gearing up for the final with rigorous training sessions, including one scheduled for Saturday evening.

Australian cricketer Pat Cummins, who plays for KKR, praised SRH’s performance in Qualifier 2 and highlighted the team’s strong batting lineup and experienced players. He also commended the bowling efforts of Shahbaz and Abhishek, emphasizing the team’s collective effort in reaching the final.

As the anticipation builds for the IPL 2024 final between SRH and KKR, fans are eagerly awaiting a thrilling match between the two top teams in the tournament. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting cricket showdown.
