Srikanth’s box office collections soar while Rajkummar’s earnings decline: Entertainment News

The much-anticipated Hindi biographical movie “Srikanth” based on the inspiring life of visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla has been making waves at the box office. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani and starring Rajkummar Rao in the lead role, the film has been garnering attention for its powerful storyline and stellar performances.

However, after a strong start, the box office collection of “Srikanth” witnessed a significant drop on Day 4, with the movie minting only Rs 1.5 crore net on Monday. The total collection currently stands at Rs 13.25 crore in India, with a worldwide collection of Rs 17.5 crore.

According to industry tracker Saclink, the movie’s collection is expected to drop further on Day 5. The film had a promising opening day, raking in Rs 2.25 crore, which surged to Rs 4.2 crore on the second day. The collection peaked on Sunday, with Rs 5.25 crore, but saw a sharp decline on Monday with only Rs 1.65 crore.

The day-wise collection of “Srikanth” stands at Rs 2.25 crore on Day 1, Rs 4.2 crore on Day 2, Rs 5.25 crore on Day 3, Rs 1.65 crore on Day 4, and Rs 0.54 crore as of Day 5.

The movie, which was released in theatres on May 10, 2024, has been praised for its portrayal of Srikanth Bolla’s journey as an entrepreneur who overcame all odds to establish Bollant Industries, providing opportunities for unskilled and differently-abled individuals. With its powerful narrative and impactful performances, “Srikanth” continues to resonate with audiences across the globe.
