In a bid to combat the rising temperatures and make the most of longer daylight hours, schools in Srinagar are set to adjust their schedules starting May 6th, 2024. The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has announced that classes will now begin at 8:30 am and end at 2:30 pm, half an hour earlier than before.
Previously, schools in Srinagar started their day at 9:00 am and concluded at 3:00 pm. This adjustment will allow students to enjoy cooler mornings and take advantage of the extended sunlight, enhancing their overall educational experience.
The proactive measure taken by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir underscores their commitment to prioritizing the well-being of students and staff members. By adapting to the changing climatic conditions, schools in Srinagar are ensuring that students can focus on their studies without being hindered by the discomfort of the heat.
As the new schedule comes into effect, it is expected to positively impact the learning atmosphere in Srinagar, fostering a more conducive environment for education. With this timely adjustment, schools are gearing up to provide a seamless transition for students and educators, ensuring that learning remains a top priority despite external challenges.
