Renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli, known for his blockbuster ‘Baahubali’ series, made a special effort to cast his vote in the ongoing Telangana Lok Sabha elections. Despite being in Dubai, Rajamouli flew back to Hyderabad just to exercise his electoral franchise.
Accompanied by his wife Rama Rajamouli, the director shared a picture on social media showing their inked fingers after voting. He expressed, “Flew from Dubai… Rushed to the polling booth directly from the airport, hence the tired looks… Done! YOU?”
Rajamouli was not the only celebrity to participate in the voting process. Several other Telugu cinema luminaries, including MM Keeravani, Chiranjeevi with wife Surekha Konidela, Jr NTR, and Allu Arjun, also stepped out to fulfill their civic duty.
The enthusiasm for voting was palpable as the voting process commenced at 7 am and will continue until 6 pm across all Lok Sabha constituencies. Acclaimed music composer MM Keeravani and veteran actor Chiranjeevi were among the early voters in Hyderabad, urging citizens to exercise their right to vote.
The star-studded affair continued as Jr NTR, filmmaker Teja, and popular actor Allu Arjun also cast their votes. The voting process in Telangana is part of a multi-dimensional battle between various political parties vying for power.
Overall, the turnout for voting in Telangana was high, with celebrities and common citizens alike coming out in large numbers to make their voices heard in the democratic process.
