Status Matching Now Available Between Three Major Cruise Line Loyalty Programs

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Royal Caribbean Group is making waves in the cruise industry with its new loyalty program that allows customers to status match across all three of its brands: Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea Cruises.

Starting June 5, loyalists from one brand can now enjoy equivalent status perks at the other two, creating a seamless experience for frequent cruisers. For example, Diamond-level members of Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society will instantly be recognized at the 250 Venetian Society Days milestone award level in Silversea’s loyalty program, even if they’ve never sailed with Silversea before.

This move by Royal Caribbean Group aims to keep customers within its family of brands, ensuring they don’t stray to competitors. CEO Jason Liberty emphasized the importance of loyalty in retaining customers and providing them with a consistent experience across different stages of their lives and travel preferences.

The new status match program also offers significant benefits, such as a 10% discount on Silversea cruises for matched Diamond and Elite members, along with other exclusive perks. This initiative makes Royal Caribbean Group the only major cruise company to offer loyalty program status matching across all its wholly owned brands.

While some experts speculate about a potential single combined loyalty program for all three brands in the future, Liberty hinted at more changes to come. He emphasized the company’s focus on customer recognition and experience, rather than a points-based earn-and-burn model like other loyalty programs in the hospitality industry.

Overall, the new status match program is just the beginning of Royal Caribbean Group’s efforts to enhance customer loyalty and provide a seamless cruise experience across its diverse portfolio of brands.
