The South Tama Trojans kicked off their 2024 tennis season with a dominant performance against the South Hardin Tigers. Senior Kaden Timm led the charge at #1 singles, showcasing his experience and skill with a commanding 10-1 victory over his opponent.
Fellow senior Braydon Thompson also impressed at #2 singles, securing a comfortable 10-5 win against his South Hardin counterpart. Freshman Michael Henry made a successful debut at #3 singles, posting a flawless 10-0 victory and proving to be a valuable addition to the team.
In the doubles matches, Timm and Thompson teamed up to face the South Hardin duo, coming back from an early deficit to secure a convincing 10-2 victory. With South Hardin forfeiting the remaining matches, the Trojans sealed a 9-0 team victory.
After the meet, Timm expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, especially considering the challenging weather conditions that affected their practice schedule.
