The Pittsburgh Steelers made some big moves in free agency on Monday, signing four key players to bolster their roster for the upcoming season.
One of the notable signings was veteran defensive tackle Dean Lowry, who inked a two-year deal with the team. Lowry, who has spent the majority of his career with the Green Bay Packers, brings a wealth of experience and talent to the Steelers’ defensive line.
In addition to Lowry, the Steelers also added running back and kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson on a two-year deal. Patterson, a four-time All-Pro known for his explosive kickoff returns, will provide a valuable veteran presence on special teams.
Wide receiver Quez Watkins and quarterback Kyle Allen were also signed by the Steelers. Watkins, who previously played for the Philadelphia Eagles, adds depth to the receiving corps with his speed and playmaking ability. Allen, who will likely serve as the third-string quarterback behind Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, provides insurance at the quarterback position.
These signings address key areas of need for the Steelers and should help strengthen the team as they prepare for the upcoming season. With a mix of veteran experience and young talent, the Steelers are positioning themselves for success in the highly competitive AFC North division.
