Summer of Celebration Planned at Queen’s Croft High School in Lichfield as a Thank You to the Community

Queen’s Croft High School in Lichfield is gearing up to celebrate a successful year with a summer fayre to thank the community for their support. The school recently received a glowing ‘good’ rating from Ofsted, highlighting the hard work and dedication of the staff.

Co-headteachers Sam Wood and Letitia Carter, who took over less than a year ago, are excited to showcase the school’s achievements at the upcoming event on June 22. The fayre will feature stalls, an ice-cream van, and even a fire engine for visitors to explore.

The school, part of the Primitas Learning Partnership, has over 190 pupils from Year 7 to Year 13. The recent Ofsted report praised the school’s rapid improvement and the development of confident and resilient young people.

One of the initiatives that stood out in the report was the enrichment program, including activities like sport, cooking, and Forest School. The school’s community work and outreach efforts were also highlighted, with students volunteering at local retirement homes and performing in primary schools.

Sam and Letitia expressed their gratitude to the senior leadership team, school governors, and the Trust for their support. They are looking forward to the upcoming events, including a ‘Makaton Choir’ performance in Lichfield and a school residential for pupils.

The summer fayre will not only be a celebration of the school’s achievements but also an opportunity to fundraise for a school mini-bus. The co-headteachers are proud of the progress made at Queen’s Croft High School and are excited for what the future holds.
