Reading Time: < 1 minute

Sunrisers Hyderabad put on a dominant display as they secured a convincing 10-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants in the latest match of the Indian Premier League. The match, held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, saw the hosts restrict Lucknow to 165/4 in their 20 overs before chasing down the target with a remarkable 62 deliveries to spare.

With this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad climbed to third place in the league standings, while Lucknow Super Giants remained in sixth place. The defeat dealt a heavy blow to Lucknow’s net run rate, impacting their position in the table.

The result also had implications for Mumbai Indians, who were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention following the outcome of the match. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals continued to lead the table with 16 points each, separated only by net run rate.

Chennai Super Kings, who have 12 points from 11 games, slipped to fourth place after Sunrisers Hyderabad’s impressive performance. Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, are tied on points with CSK but have played one more game, with a significantly lower net run rate.

The table also saw Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings in seventh and eighth place respectively, both with 8 points from 11 games. Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans rounded off the standings in ninth and tenth place, with the latter having the opportunity to overtake Mumbai with a game in hand.
