However, Travis Head and Nitish Reddy turned the tide with a brilliant partnership, scoring 96 runs off 57 deliveries. Heinrich Klaasen’s quickfire 42 not out off 19 balls helped SRH post a competitive total of 201/3.
In response, RR’s Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal put up a strong fight, with Parag scoring 77 and Jaiswal contributing 67. Despite Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s early breakthroughs, RR looked set to chase down the target. However, a tense final over saw SRH’s Cummins and Bhuvneshwar hold their nerve to secure the win.
With this victory, SRH moved up to the 4th spot in the points table, overtaking Chennai Super Kings (CSK). RR, despite the loss, maintained their position at the top of the table.
