The Superior Academic and Athletic Hall of Fame is gearing up to welcome 12 individuals and one team into its prestigious ranks. The School District of Superior community has cast their votes, and on Oct. 4, the Class of 2024 will be honored during the Superior High School Spartan homecoming football game. A banquet will follow on Oct. 5 to celebrate the inductees.
Among those being recognized are standout athletes like Kaitlin Heinen, known for her accomplishments as a top-level swimmer and softball player, and Ross Kennelly, a North Dakota State University long snapper who will be returning to play on the Bison football team while pursuing his master’s degree. Other honorees include Paul Zollver, Daniel Singer, Jack Teske, Logan Carpenter, Mike Stack, Justin Craker, Mike Sislo, the 1988 SHS Football Team, Jason Kalin, Mel Mattson, and Mike Goglin.
Ella Olson, the activities and athletic director, expressed her excitement for the upcoming ceremony, highlighting the significant contributions these individuals have made both on and off the field. The recipients have been notified, and preparations are underway for the induction ceremony.
