Supporters of Palestinian Rights Expected to Rally in Thousands on Washington’s National Mall

Thousands of protesters are expected to gather in Washington D.C. this Saturday for a rally in support of Palestinian rights and an immediate end to Israeli military operations in Gaza. The event, marking the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, which refers to the exodus of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in 1948, is expected to draw a large crowd.

In a surprising move, rally organizers did not apply for permits from the National Park Service, which typically oversees such events on the National Mall.
