Surgical Practice Joins Stony Brook Medicine Community Medical Group in Bay Shore
In an exciting development for the Long Island community, Drs. Marc Finkelstein and Robert Turoff, along with their practice Suffolk Surgical Associates, have joined the Stony Brook Medicine Community Medical Group in Bay Shore.
With a combined 75 years of experience in various surgical specialties including general, colorectal, gastroenterology, trauma, surgical oncology, and breast surgeries, the addition of Finkelstein and Turoff to the health system’s physician network is expected to enhance patient care in the region.
Dr. Apostolos Tassiopoulos, chair of the Department of Surgery at Stony Brook Medicine, expressed his enthusiasm about the new members joining the community. Finkelstein, a board-certified surgeon with over 30 years of experience, completed his medical degree and residency in general surgery in New York. Turoff, also board-certified, brings 40 years of experience to the group, having completed his medical degree and surgical oncology fellowship in prestigious institutions.
