Taiwan Tourism wraps up successful multi-city roadshow in India – TravelBiz Monitor, India’s leading travel news source

Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) is making up for lost time by enthusiastically developing the India market. After participating in OTM earlier this year and hosting B2B trade networking events in Delhi and Mumbai, the tourism board recently concluded a multi-city roadshow with the final leg in Bengaluru on April 19, 2024.

The roadshow in Bengaluru followed a well-attended event in Hyderabad, showcasing Taiwan’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) attractiveness. The roadshows attracted a lot of interest from travel fraternities, corporates, and event organizers in both cities.

Joseph Cheng, Director of Taiwan Tourism Administration – Singapore Office, highlighted Taiwan’s appeal as a destination for all types of travelers, especially MICE groups. He emphasized Taiwan’s advanced economy, cultural treasures, and outdoor activities as key attractions for business and leisure travelers.

The roadshow in Hyderabad, held at the Radisson Hotel in Banjara Hills, was attended by 80 leading MICE and leisure companies. The Bengaluru event, hosted at the JW Marriott hotel, saw participation from almost 100 tour operators, DMCs, and event companies. Both events featured destination presentations, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities.
