Kurators Kafein Tampa is not your average coffee shop. Beyond the delicious beverages served up front, this establishment is a hub for BIPOC business owners, content creators, and organizations to come together, create, and dream.

Owner Kimberly Hemmingway has a personal connection to the mission of Kurators Kafein. After a car accident led to the end of her corporate career, she found herself questioning the meaning of life. This pivotal moment pushed her towards entrepreneurship and creating a space for others to do the same.

Stephanie Outten, owner of Cocoon to Wings Publishing, knows all about making a career pivot. After a divorce and corporate shake-up, she found herself drawn to authorship and publishing. Together with Hemmingway, they have created a space for innovation and collaboration.

To celebrate their first anniversary, Kurators Kafein will be hosting a ‘Black and Brown Book Bazaar’ on June 15th. As Hemmingway and Outten continue to chase their dreams, they offer advice to others who may be hesitant to take the leap. “Get a better understanding of who you are and then understand that with anything you have to leap into it,” says Hemmingway.
