Reading Time: < 1 minute

TCU made history by clinching their first NCAA Division I men’s tennis team championship title since the tournament’s inception in 1946. The thrilling final match against Texas ended with a score of 4-3 in favor of TCU, marking a significant milestone for the team.

The individual championship competitors for singles and doubles were announced on April 30, with the singles competition kicking off on May 20 and the doubles competition starting on May 21 in Stillwater. Tennis enthusiasts can catch all the action live and track the live stats to stay updated on the tournament progress.

The road to the championship was not easy for TCU, as they faced tough competition throughout the tournament. Teams battled it out in the first and second rounds, super regionals, quarterfinals, semifinals, and finally, the national championship match on May 19.

In the championship history, Virginia had dominated with back-to-back team titles in 2022 and 2023, accumulating a total of six championships. However, TCU’s remarkable performance this year secured them a well-deserved spot in the history books alongside powerhouse programs like Southern California.

The victory was a testament to TCU’s dedication, skill, and teamwork, showcasing their prowess on the court and solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with in collegiate men’s tennis. Congratulations to TCU on their historic win!
