TDP accuses YSRCP of using deep fake technology for spreading false propaganda

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of using deep fake technology to spread false propaganda ahead of the upcoming elections. The TDP alleged that the ruling party manipulated videos and statements to mislead the public.

In a press release, the TDP claimed that YSRCP used deep fake technology to create videos of TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu making false statements about the alliance with the BJP. The opposition party released both the original and manipulated videos to support their claims.

Naidu, in the original video, addressed the misuse of technology by YSRCP and warned the public to be vigilant against false propaganda. He emphasized that the alliance with the BJP is not temporary, contrary to the fake press note released by YSRCP.

The TDP condemned the actions of the ruling party, calling it a desperate attempt to win the elections by spreading misinformation. They urged the public not to fall for such tactics and to be aware of the false propaganda being circulated.

With the elections approaching, tensions between the TDP and YSRCP are escalating as both parties strive to gain an advantage. The use of deep fake technology in political propaganda has raised concerns about the manipulation of information and the impact it can have on the democratic process.
