Teen on magic mushrooms stabs NJ mom, chilling final words revealed

Reading Time: < 1 minute

A New Jersey mom, Donna Ongsiako, recently shared the chilling details of a horrifying attack she endured at the hands of a teenager high on magic mushrooms. The incident occurred back in July 2013 when 16-year-old Brennan Doyle forced his way into Ongsiako’s Colts Neck home.

In a harrowing interview with CBS’ “48 Hours,” Ongsiako recounted the terrifying moment when she opened her door and was confronted by the knife-wielding intruder. Doyle demanded her car keys, purse, and a lighter before uttering the chilling words, “You dead bitch,” and plunging a knife into her chest.

Despite her injuries, Ongsiako managed to call 911 and provide a description of her attacker before losing consciousness. She underwent a seven-hour surgery to repair the damage and miraculously survived the ordeal.

Doyle was eventually apprehended months later after DNA evidence linked him to the crime. During his trial, he admitted to using hallucinogenic mushrooms and expressed remorse for his actions, attributing them to the effects of the drugs.

Ultimately, Doyle pleaded guilty to carjacking and attempted murder, receiving a 15-year prison sentence. Meanwhile, Ongsiako has since created a victim support group to help others who have experienced random attacks.

Reflecting on her journey to recovery, Ongsiako emphasized the importance of resilience, stating, “You just keep going. I did what I had to do to be here today, you know, and go another day.” The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of drug-induced violence and the strength of those who survive such traumatic experiences.
