The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their winning streak with a 3-1 victory over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday, capping off an unbeaten homestand. Teoscar Hernández was the hero of the game, hitting a two-run homer in the sixth inning to secure the win for the Dodgers.

Freddie Freeman set the stage for Hernández’s heroics with a two-out double before Hernández sent a full-count changeup from Ryan Weathers over the left-center wall. Hernández drove in all three runs for the Dodgers in a quick-paced game that lasted just 1 hour and 55 minutes.

Despite Bryan De La Cruz’s solo home run for the Marlins in the fourth inning, Miami was unable to overcome the Dodgers’ strong performance. Gavin Stone pitched seven solid innings, allowing only one run on six hits with four strikeouts.

The Marlins have struggled on their current road trip, losing five of their last six games. On the other hand, the Dodgers’ starters have been impressive during the homestand, with five pitchers going at least six innings and posting a 2.33 ERA.

In injury news, Marlins’ RHP Edward Cabrera was placed on the 15-day injured list due to right shoulder impingement, while LHP Braxton Garrett was reinstated from the IL and is set to start on Sunday against Philadelphia.

Looking ahead, the Marlins will face Philadelphia in a three-game series, with LHP Trevor Rogers taking the mound. The Dodgers will head to San Diego for a series against the Padres, with RHP Tyler Glasnow set to start.
