Gazette cartoonist Terry Mosher, also known as Aislin, has launched his new book, “Montreal Expos, A Cartoonist’s Love Affair,” at the Atwater Library in Montreal. The book is a memoir rather than a history, filled with engaging stories about the Montreal Expos.

Growing up on the South Shore of Montreal, Mosher’s love for baseball started at a young age. His first sports hero was Rusty Staub, and he has fond memories of the Expos, Jarry Park, and even Olympic Stadium. The Expos were truly “Nos Amours” for him.

The book is a collection of over 300 pages, featuring stories about every Player of the Year for the Expos from 1969 to 2004. Mosher, a big fan of the team, shares behind-the-scenes anecdotes and personal experiences with players, coaches, and managers. The book also includes Aislin Expos cartoons and photos that capture the club’s history.

Mosher’s passion for the Expos shines through in the book, reflecting his deep connection to the team. He hopes that the memories of the Expos will live on, and his book serves as a tribute to his love affair with the team. Despite the Expos leaving Montreal 20 years ago, Mosher’s book brings back nostalgic memories for fans and keeps the spirit of the team alive.
