The Houston Texans have made waves in the NFL with their recent trade for receiver Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills. This move comes on the heels of a remarkable season for the Texans, who have seen a dramatic turnaround in just one year.

In 2023, the Texans were struggling and were considered one of the worst teams in the league. However, the addition of quarterback C.J. Stroud and a fantastic season of growth changed their fortunes. Now, the Texans are among the top teams in the league, with high odds of winning the Super Bowl next season.

Before the Diggs trade, the Texans were 25-to-1 to win the Super Bowl. However, with Diggs on board, their odds have been cut nearly in half to +1500, making them the seventh team on BetMGM’s board. Stroud’s MVP odds have also improved, now at +1000.

On the other hand, the Bills’ odds have worsened after the Diggs trade, going from +1200 to +1400 to win the Super Bowl. Josh Allen’s MVP odds also shifted from +800 to +900. Both teams now have the same odds to win the AFC at +750 each.

The Texans had a strong 2023 season, winning the AFC South and a playoff game. With key additions like Danielle Hunter, Denico Autry, Azeez Al-Shaair, and Joe Mixon, along with Diggs, the Texans’ offense looks formidable.

While there may be some risk in adding Diggs, the oddsmakers are confident in the Texans’ chances of becoming Super Bowl contenders. With their rapid growth and strategic moves, the Texans are poised for success in the upcoming season.
