The Amount of Hush Money Trial Lawyers Are Receiving from Trump

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Former President Donald Trump’s ongoing criminal trial is being financially supported by his supporters, as revealed in Federal Election Commission filings. Trump’s PAC, Save America, has been paying millions to the two law firms representing him in his trial over hush money payments, even before the trial proceedings began.

The law firms, Blanche Law and Susan Necheles, have received significant payments from Save America. Lawyers Todd Blanche and Emil Bove, partners at Blanche Law, have been paid approximately $4 million by Save America between April 2023 and March 31. Necheles, an experienced defense attorney, received around $1.7 million during the same period.

In total, Save America has paid approximately $5.8 million to the law firms representing Trump in his hush money case. The PAC has spent over $50 million on legal fees since Trump’s indictment in Manhattan in March 2023.

Trump’s hush money trial is expected to continue for another five weeks, with ongoing uncertainty about how his legal expenses will be covered. Save America’s cash reserves are limited, and the source of funds for Trump’s legal bills remains unclear.

Recent scrutiny has been directed at Blanche’s representation of Trump, particularly after a hearing where the attorney clashed with the judge over a gag order violation. Despite the financial support from his supporters, Trump’s legal battles continue to raise questions about his financial resources and the ethics of using campaign funds for legal expenses.
