The Cadillac Optiq EV is Priced at $54,000 and Geared Towards Trendy Millennials

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Cadillac is making a bold move into the world of electric vehicles with the introduction of the 2025 Optiq, a mid-size crossover aimed at attracting a younger, hipper audience. Priced at $54,000, the Optiq is the cheapest in Cadillac’s EV lineup and is designed to serve as a gateway to the brand for new customers.

Built on GM’s Ultium platform, the Optiq features an 85 kWh battery that provides a range of 300 miles. While not the fastest charging option on the market, the Optiq can add 79 miles of charge in 10 minutes and go from 20% to 80% state of charge in 26 minutes. The vehicle also offers a choice between an 11.5 kW and a 19.2 kW onboard charger for speedy home charging.

In terms of design, the Optiq stands out with its unique color options and special touches like textured rear quarter-panel windows and choreographed LED lights. Inside, the vehicle boasts 100% recyclable materials, a high-gloss finish on the console, and ambient lighting details that add to the overall aesthetic.

On the tech front, the Optiq comes equipped with a large 33-inch diagonal screen for the infotainment system and digital gauge cluster. Safety features include blind-zone steering assist, automatic parking, forward collision alert, and adaptive cruise control. Additionally, the vehicle offers GM’s Super Cruise hands-free/eyes-up semi-autonomous driving assistant with lane-change assist.

With a focus on design, technology, and driving experience, the Cadillac Optiq is poised to make a significant impact in the EV market and attract a new generation of Cadillac enthusiasts.
