Iconic post-punk band The Chameleons are making a triumphant return with their new EP ‘Where Are You?’ set to be released on May 24th. This marks their first studio recording in over 20 years, much to the excitement of their dedicated fan base.
Lead vocalist/bassist Mark Burgess expressed his initial apprehension about releasing new music after such a long hiatus, but ultimately found the experience rewarding. The EP features three songs, including the title track ‘Where Are You?’ which showcases the band’s signature guitar hooks and Burgess’ distinctive vocals.
The EP also includes the mesmerizing ‘Endlessly Falling’ and the contemplative ballad ‘Forever,’ giving fans a taste of what’s to come on their upcoming album ‘Arctic Moon’ planned for later in 2024.
In addition to their new music, The Chameleons will be celebrating their 1986 breakthrough album ‘Strange Times’ with a North American tour. Burgess, who was initially skeptical of album performance tours, has had a change of heart and is looking forward to recreating the album live for their fans.
The tour kicks off on May 30th in San Diego and includes stops in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, and more. Fans can expect to hear classics like ‘Tear’ and ‘Swamp Thing’ along with new material from the EP.
With their long-awaited return to the music scene, The Chameleons are sure to captivate audiences old and new with their timeless sound and electrifying performances.
