The Chattels & More Design Contest Returns in Partnership with Dubai Home Festival 2024: A Chance to Create UAE’s Favorite Sofa – Lifestyle

Chattels & More, a leading furniture brand in the UAE, has announced the launch of the Chattels Design Contest 2.0 in collaboration with Dubai Home Festival 2024. Following the success of its first edition, this year’s contest challenges residents of the UAE to design the most loved sofa in the country using Artificial Intelligence.

In 2023, Chattels & More, in partnership with Dubai Home Festival, introduced the Chattels & More Design Contest, which inspired designers and residents across the UAE to create the ‘&’ chair, inspired by the brand’s iconic logo. Building on this success, the brand is now delving into AI-assisted design, recognizing the importance of embracing technology in the design landscape.

Adrian Shaw, CEO of Chattels & More, highlighted the significance of incorporating AI into the contest, stating that it not only fosters creativity but also nurtures tech-enabled talent in the country. This move also showcases the UAE as an early adopter of technology on a global scale.

Mohammed Feras Arayqat, Associate Vice President of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), expressed excitement about the collaboration with Chattels & More for the second edition of the design contest. He emphasized the importance of showcasing emerging trends and innovations in the home retail sector, positioning Dubai as a leader in design and innovation.

The Chattels Design Contest 2.0 challenges participants to utilize AI in designing an iconic sofa that could become the most beloved and sought-after piece of furniture in the UAE. The contest offers a grand prize of AED 50,000, along with the opportunity for the winning design to be displayed at Chattels & More’s showroom in Mall of the Emirates as a limited-edition product. Additionally, the designer may receive a 2% commission if the design is deemed commercially viable by the brand.

Residents of the UAE, regardless of age, are invited to submit their designs online, including 2D/3D design files, by June 16. Participants must adhere to the guidelines provided by Chattels & More regarding fabric, material, and color options. The runner-up will receive a gift voucher worth AED 10,000 from the brand.
