The family of Nicole Brown Simpson speaks out on OJ Simpson’s passing – NBC 7 San Diego

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The family of Nicole Brown Simpson is speaking out ahead of the 30th anniversary of her tragic murder. In a recent interview with People, her sisters Denise Brown, Dominique Brown, and Tanya Brown shared their thoughts on the death of her ex-husband O.J. Simpson, who was accused of killing Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.

Tanya Brown expressed mixed emotions about Simpson’s passing, stating, “This is a person who’s been in our life for a very long time, who wreaked havoc on our family. It’s like the end of a chapter.” The sisters reflected on the alleged abuse Brown Simpson faced during her marriage to Simpson, noting that her life took a positive turn after their divorce in 1992.

Dominique Brown recalled the freedom and levity her sister experienced in the years following the split, while Tanya Brown expressed gratitude that Brown Simpson was able to enjoy the last two years of her life. The sisters also shared insights into the alleged abuse Brown Simpson endured at the hands of Simpson, revealing that she lived in fear of him and kept track of the times he harmed her.

The family is set to retell Brown Simpson’s story in the upcoming docuseries, “The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson,” airing on June 1 and 2. They hope that by sharing her story, others will recognize the signs of abuse and seek help. Despite the pain of their loss, the Brown sisters are determined to keep Nicole’s legacy alive and raise awareness about domestic violence.
