Ritz-Carlton is taking over a famed resort on the North Shore of Oahu

In a move that has excited points and miles enthusiasts, Marriott Bonvoy fans, and luxury travelers alike, the legendary Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii is set to be transformed into a Ritz-Carlton property.

Known as “Oahu’s North Shore gem,” Turtle Bay Resort has long been celebrated for its breathtaking scenery, lush grounds, luxurious accommodations, and world-class amenities. The resort’s iconic pool and renowned surf breaks have made it a favorite destination for surfers and travelers seeking a slice of paradise.

Host Hotels & Resorts has recently announced its acquisition of the 450-room resort and 49 acres of undeveloped land for approximately $680 million. The deal, expected to be finalized in early July, will see Turtle Bay Resort rebranded as a Ritz-Carlton property, with Marriott taking over management of the resort.

While the specifics of the transformation are yet to be revealed, it is expected that the rebranding will elevate the already prestigious property to new heights of luxury and exclusivity. With Host Hotels & Resorts’ track record of managing luxury properties, including the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui and The Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida, travelers can expect nothing short of a world-class experience at the new Ritz-Carlton Turtle Bay.

As the hospitality industry eagerly anticipates the unveiling of the revamped resort, all eyes are on the North Shore of Oahu as it prepares to welcome a new era of luxury and sophistication with the arrival of Ritz-Carlton. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development in the world of luxury travel.
