Three Eastern Michigan University tennis student-athletes have been recognized for their academic achievements by earning placement on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team. Sabina Brichackova, Andrea Quiroz, and Prerna Vichare were all honored for their outstanding academic performance.

Brichackova, a two-time Academic All-MAC honoree, had an impressive junior season with 26 total victories. She was part of two MAC Doubles Team of the Week honors and played a crucial role in securing wins for the team, including a victory over the University of Toledo that ended their 18-match MAC win streak.

Quiroz posted 19 wins in singles play and 16 wins in doubles action, totaling 35 combined wins for the season. Her strong performances helped the team secure victories in MAC matches against Ball State University and Bowling Green State University.

Vichare added 20 wins to her tally as an Eagle, bringing her career total to 70 wins. She also clinched several team wins with her victories in singles play and played a key role in capturing the doubles points in conference matches.

The Eagles completed the 2023-24 season with a 12-11 overall record and a perfect 11-0 home record. Their performance at the MAC Tournament marked their first appearance since 2018, showcasing the team’s growth and success throughout the season.

Overall, the recognition of Brichackova, Quiroz, and Vichare highlights the dedication and hard work of Eastern Michigan University’s women’s tennis team both on and off the court. Their academic achievements serve as a testament to their commitment to excellence in all aspects of their student-athlete experience.
